NOISE CONTROL SOLUTIONS FOR SCHOOLS, CLASSROOMS, GYMNASIUMS

willtec® Foam  || Wall Panels  || Ceiling Tiles

willtec® Foam

willtec® foam can control distracting sound reflections within classrooms, while a loaded vinyl barrier installed between walls or in drop ceilings can keep exterior sounds from migrating inside.

NOISE CONTROL FOR SCHOOLS, CLASSROOMS, GYMNASIUMS

Walls or ceilings can be treated with acoustic products
A Memtech professional support staff can help to identify your noise problem and offer the right solution.

Solutions for treating walls, ceilings or both with illbruck acoustical products include:

Wall Panels

SONEX® wall panels in willtec foam are easily mounted to walls or partitions to reduce overall noise and reverberation.

FABRITEC™ Panels – Fabric-covered acoustical foam panels absorb noise while blending onto a room’s décor.  Its tackable surface is ideal for displaying student work.

FABRITEC™ Panels are also available in a perforated vinyl that can be wiped clean.

PROSPEC® Barriers installed between walls stops noise coming from adjacent rooms or hallways.  The free-standing vinyl barrier can be woven between staggered 2x4 studs.

Anti-microbial, flat willtec panels installed in HVAC systems absorb noise caused by reverberating metal.

Ceiling Baffles and Ceiling Tiles

SONEX® Baffles are ideal in gymnasiums, auditoriums and multi-purpose rooms where they can hang from ceilings to reduce echo and reverberation.

PROSPEC® Barriers installed between a suspended and permanent ceiling stops outside noise from transmitting through the ceiling.

CONTOUR™ Ceiling Tiles for suspended ceilings make an attractive and effective acoustical environment.

ASA Group Works to Establish Minimum Classroom Noise Standards
Proposed standards for classroom acoustics are being developed by a work group of the Acoustical Society of America (ASA), in conjunction with the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).

The work group will recommend that classroom noise not exceed 35 decibels.  Many American classrooms today can be as loud as 50 decibels.  For satisfactory communication, speech should be 15 decibels above background noise.  The group will also recommend that reverberation time not exceed 0.6 seconds.

If adopted, the new standards could be incorporated into the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
